Giving Seat to an Old Man

One day, Benjamin and his mom took a bus to visit his uncle in Yuen Long. The bus was crowded with a lot of people. There was no seat for them. After a few minutes, Benjamin found an empty seat. He wanted to take the seat. He then saw a weak old man. He said to the old man, “There is an empty seat. You can take the seat.”

The old man was very happy. He praised him, “You are a good boy.” His mom was happy to see him giving the seat to the needy. After they had arrived Yuen Long, they waved goodbye to the old man. The old man was very happy and waved back to them.

Be an Enviromentally Friendly Picnicker

Going for a picnic is full of fun, but make sure you are friendly to the environment.

First, we need to use the recycle bags to carry the foods. Do not use the plastic bags. They are not good for environment.

Then, we can bring our own spoons, forks, and boxes instead of the plastic plates and spoons. They are not recyclable.

Next, write and list the right amount of foods on a piece of paper before you buy them. Do not waste the food.

Finally, clean the place after the picnic. Collect the rubbish before you leave.

Jack and the Beanstalk

Jack was very scared and he hid himself in the stove. The giant's wife went to the stove to cook something. She saw Jack and she wanted to help Jack. She whispered to Jack not to shout. She said she would save Jack.

She then mixed some sleeping medicine into the giant's food. The giant was hungry and ate all the food. He fell asleep.

Jack thanked the giant's wife. Jack got the hen that laid the gold eggs from the giant's wife. Jack was very happy. He took the hen home. Jack’s mother was very happy to see Jack and the hen. They became rich after that.

The Story Behind Candy's Missing

On Tuesday Candy was unhappy because she was afraid that she would fail a difficult English test. After wearing her uniform, she left her home.

She did not want to go to school. So, she decided to go to Lamma Island to be away from her classmates.

She walked alone on the beach for the whole morning. Then she felt hungry and went to a nearby restaurant for some food. A police saw her and took her home.

Lesson of 14 August

I learnt to remember vocabulary words by listening and repeating words as many times as I can. Terri told me that I could not study well if I had too much negative thought (B) about studying. I must try to relax and focus on studying. This is called positive thought (A).

I must study again to remember the 22 words by repeating and reciting as many times as I can.

This week I will read the 22 words 20 times every day, I don't need to memorise but just to read every day so I can remember them naturally.

I will also add comment to my blog messages.

Today's Lesson

Today Terri told me that she would like me to learn 24 consonant sounds and blending the sounds. I will also learn to place stress in word pronunciation. I will then read words and short sentences.

Learning to read is like learning to swim. I must practise a lot before I can do it well.
